Weston Park International Model Air Show 2023 - Jun 16th - 18th (Fri - Sun)

The event you have all been waiting for - the infamous ‘Weston Park International Model Air Show’ taking place between Friday 16th – Sunday 18th June 2023.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be a member of the BMFA/BDF to attend this event due to it being open to the public and the liability insurance only being valid if all Pilots are BMFA/BDF members. If you are insured by FPVUK, or another insurer, you must organise temporary insurance directly with the BMFA ahead of the event (cost of around £7 for 30 days). Proof of BMFA/BDF insurance will be required on check-in at the event or provided beforehand via iFPV or emailed direct to the BDRA Secretary - no proof, no entry.

Planned Schedule of Racing (subject to change)

Friday – Noon til 10:00 pm - Fun Fly (After suitable assistance is on-site from participating pilots to erect the safety netting - many hands make light work!)

Saturday - 9:00 am – 5:30 pm - British Championship Qualifying Event

Saturday - 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Night Fun Fly (TBC)

Sunday – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (latest) – British Championship Qualifying Event

We will be utilising the Race Directing services, and the inflatable gated course, from Westland Drone Racing Events. 

Registration will be £80 for BDRA members or £90 for non-members. This includes on-site camping from the Thursday before to the Monday morning (10am) after the event if pilots wish to make the most of the long weekend. (NOTE: There is no discount for those opting not to camp on-site.)

BDRA Members will have exclusive access to the available tickets for the first 24 hours of booking. This is a substantial saving on the 'gate ticketed' price for entry to the show - and you are getting 3 days of racing on top!

We kindly ask that anyone signing up ensures they compete on both main flying days - Saturday and Sunday (unless there is a valid reason). NOTE: Your ticket will allow entry daily for those staying off-site.

There are just 60 pilot places up for grabs – so please ensure you set your alarms! Sign up goes live on InsideFPV at 8pm on Saturday 25th March.

NOTE: Please ensure your BDRA membership is showing in your iFPV profile ahead of sign-up otherwise the discount, and priority booking, will not be available to you.

Any remaining tickets will be available to non-members from 8pm on Sunday 26th March.

A marquee will be made available for this event - however we ask pilots bring their own tables and chairs as supply of these has always been limited in previous years. There will be a very limited power supply – so as much as possible pilots are asked to bring your own charging equipment (generators are welcome - but please share with others where possible!).
