The BDRA British Drone Racing Championships are back, bringing together some of the fastest FPV drone racing pilots from across the UK for a weekend of high-speed racing at the incredible JCB Kevin Quarry.
Hosted inside a working quarry, this is set to be one of the most distinctive venues on the UK drone racing calendar. Pilots will battle it out across a purpose-built championship track to determine who will be crowned the 2026 British Drone Racing Champion.
Expect fast, technical and close racing throughout the event as competitors progress through qualifying and the finals, with every position counting when the UK's best pilots go head-to-head.
Racing
Racing is scheduled to begin at 09:30. (Subject to venue confirmation)
Pilots should ensure they arrive with plenty of time to prepare before racing begins. The start time is subject to change, with the final timetable and pilot information to be confirmed closer to the event.
The Championships are open to BDRA members only and will be run in accordance with the published event regulations and technical requirements.
The Venue – JCB Kevin Quarry
We're going racing in a quarry!
JCB Kevin Quarry provides a spectacular and highly unusual setting for the British Championships, giving us the opportunity to create something very different from a traditional FPV racing venue.
We appreciate that one of the first questions many pilots will have is "What about metallic debris and the motors?"
Motor testing has been carried out at the quarry specifically to investigate this. Tests have shown that metallic debris is minimal in this quarry, so pilots shouldn't need to treat the event significantly differently from a normal race meeting.
As with any drone racing event, pilots should still inspect and clean their equipment regularly throughout the weekend.

Camping is available nearby for £10 for anyone who requires it at Rue Hill Campsite, Electric hookups may cost more
